Let's say I interview with company Acme, and they offer me a job position. But what happens if for some reason I can't take it just yet? Can I postpone it by a year?
And if so, do you think I will have to re-interview again? They should still have my application/interview results on file, no?

In a word, "No"
Sorry, but the reason they are interviewing NOW is because they have a need NOW. Unless you have some super-specialized skill (Like a robotics engineer or something) they are not going to let you defer your start date for a year and keep the position open!
You certainly CAN re-apply, but you probably will need to go through the whole interview process again - and they may not offer you a position, depending upon the other candidates.
Having said all that - if there is a strong, compelling reason, don't take the offer now. Come clean. If you accept and then leave, they will give you a poor reference and won't want to speak to you a year from now ...
Best of luck!

I can't think of any reason I would wait a year to fill a position, no matter what the reason for the deferral. What I *would* do for someone I thought was a great job candidate is to ask that they come back when they're ready to work. I wouldn't commit to having a position open, but I'd make sure the person knew we were interested. And I would do another interview, as well, although it might be more of a review nature.

If I was the hiring manger and you where interviewing for a general position (clerk, warehouseman, service manager, cash supervisor) then no. If you were a highly trained well motivated individual whose acquisition could advance the interests of the company possibly. It depends why you wanted to put it off (the reason would say a lot about you as a person and if you would truly be an asset or a liability).

Depends on how bad they want you.
But for the most part unless you have a military commitment, the answer is NO.
Not really.
Doubt it
They want you now.
They'll say to re-apply in a year or so, but I doubt they'll keep anything open for you. they have to fill position and have someone do the work..IF you can't do it now, nothing gets done.
You must have like a giant ego to think someone would wait a year for you. Damn.

some issues strike me on your question: a million. you're no longer waiting for college for social motives and because you think of you're slightly youthful, yet you think of you may up and circulate to London for a activity, the place maximum folk won't in any respect be on your social age variety because of the fact maximum of them would be in college. 2. Your sole clarification for unlikely to varsity is on the grounds which you won't manage to get in to pubs and golf equipment. In the two London and eire the ingesting age is eighteen. And, individually, maximum of my time in college replaced into spent interior the faculty room. I did, besides the shown fact that, discover time to socialize with acquaintances because of the fact there replaced into lots greater to do then pubs and golf equipment. 3. you desire to be reported to take the activity. Its the main interesting selection and a great hazard. you do no longer point out any downfalls to accepting the area, so take the activity. If that's what you opt for and additionally you're in simple terms searching for validation, than do it. you're able to have a great time and may be able to be taught lots. yet be very cautious. I confronted the comparable seize 22 concern while i replaced into your age and chosen incorrect. i desperate to take a activity, optimistic that as quickly as i replaced into greater mature and "waiting" i'd triumph over college. right here i'm, tremendously much a decade later without degree and the thought i'll nonetheless some day make it in.
