1. Delete your GPA. At least for a college GPA, you should never list anything below a 3.0. I would assume you should be higher for a high school GPA.

2. You might want to embellish a bit on your work experience.

3. I would suggest moving your first volunteer experience to the first experience in your work experience.

4. Remove the 30 hours part on one of your volunteer experience. It's not something to brag about. If you list it without it, it might seem like you did it longer than just 30 hours.

5. SPELLING AND GRAMMAR! It's "Took," not "Taken." And why is "Learner" in "Quick Learner" capitalized? There's a bunch of grammatical errors here from just glancing at it. Please have a friend or teacher help you look over it. Spelling errors are the easiest things you can fix on a resume.

6. You might also consider listening skills above your experiences.

One page always! You have to get your resume down to one page, but that doesn't mean it is general. You need to be direct and to the point of the job listing and the company. A resume only gets skimmed so it needs to be to the point and dynamic so it stands out and shows you have the education and experience for the position. Make sure it is clearly written and has NO typos. Have it looked at by as many people as possible who have experience with resumes and take all advice to mind even if you may not agree. Take resume classes at your school also. People who review resumes for jobs are very picky.

For Martin's:

Don't say "for four to six months", which was it?

Don't say "about 4 months". It's OK to round. If it was 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 months, just say for 4 months.

Put the months, not just the years, when you worked there.

I'd leave the GPA off - only put GPA if it's good, yours is so-so

Leave off the thank you letter under awards/honors.

Don't put a close friend as a reference.

Looking at your additional details, I'd have left your work experience the way it was, and if you want to put electives, would leave in astronomy if you want to if it was astronomy and not astrology as you havve in your question - astrology is often looked at as fluff - if you took astronomy, leave it in.

Experience: do not combine all jobs in one. Give a seperate heading and job duties

Electives: you can put them with education under one heading.

don't list your gpa, recycling cans, or astrology, very well on customer skills is bad grammer, and an award for doing work quietly is just ridiculous.
