Question:
Can anybody on the web see or find my resume if I post it on indeed.com?

I want to post my resume so I can give myself a greater opportunity for job offers, but I am paranoid about privacy. I only want the business who are hiring to be able to view my resume.

Read their privacy policy if you decide to post it. There are settings you can use as well to help protect your privacy. You should also apply to jobs in your field, don't just post your resume. I have my resume on there, only employers call me if they're interested in me. I've even gotten a few jobs from Indeed.com. You have the right to turn down or accept an interview or an offer, specially if it seams like a scam.

There's probably someway you can adjust the privacy settings to make it for employers only to view. A lot of people probably don't know how to do it or don't care about it. I once found one of my co-worker's phone number on there. She once gave it to me and I lost it and wanted to ask her if she'd cover a shift and then I remembered her saying she once put a resume on Indeed so I typed in the place we worked and our city and boom, there it was.

Chances it will be publicly accessible and google will be able to index it. I really don't know the indeed options, perhaps they may offer confidential profiles.

I tried searching indeed for a randomly selected first name and got a lot of resumes in the results, I believe they say there are millions of resumes on indeed (and apparently visible to the public)., one example:

Contact recruiters in your industry. They'll only show it to people who are hiring.
