I am unemployed for almost a year now - have been working on a part time job though. At the beginning, I have reached out to all the people i know, and nothing.
I tried to go to meet up events, but it feels like everybody there thinks the other person can give him or her a job.

When I apply for a job right now, either on Indeed or linkedIn, I will always try to find a relevant person at the company i apply to and to send him or her a message to express my interest of the job and company. Otherwise, I just try my best to tailor my resume and write a good cover letter.

I feel like I am getting more and more frustrated and less motivated. Everything was like a dream a year ago. My ex girl friend was still with me, and I was in the beginning of my career working as a data analyst, and I was saving money and plan to move out my parent's place. Then one by one, they were all gone. first, my ex girlfriend left me because my family is not well-off enough. Then the data analytic team got disbanded and I could not move out any more. Now almost 1 year, I am still struggling to find work.

It looks like you are going through your Saturn transit in your 10th house. It happens roughly every 30 years and its normal to be unemployed or under employed for a period of 3 years. Things will improve after 3 years. Be sure to use this time period to gain various other educational and other qualifications supplement your career

I'm not sure what data analytic has to do with?? But when I was looking for info tek jobs, I looked on the job boards: Dice, Monster, and Career Builder. I put my resume on these sites. Sometimes recruiters contacted me. And sometimes I search these sites for appropriate jobs.

I have a comp sci degree, and work as a mainframe pgmr/analyst.

Let's send random people at a company linkedin messages = that's not creepy is it?

If you aren't getting interviews than your resume doesn't reflect your skills well or you are applying for jobs that don't meet your background.

THere isn't any other way - you just have to keep pushing through. There are plenty of ways to no and only a few ways to yes, so plenty of leads won't go anywhere. Just keep swimming.

The best way is to work with a recruiter or two. There is no charge to you. The hiring company pays all their fees.

Whatever process you have been using, stop doing it. Obviously, it is not successful. Take the approach that you will take any job, and then after checking out its potential, start looking for a better job. There is still no better way than making a physical appearance and asking. Fill out the forms while you are there, talk to everyone you can. Be nice. Somebody is trying somebody who wants to work.

Yes, sadly these days job hunting has to be treated exactly the same as having a job! Be methodical, try every opportunity and avenue you can that are within your scope, use online recruitment sites, have an immaculate resume and interview technique, and devote half of every day to getting your CV out there. The other half of your day you should use as time off, not worrying about having no job and preventing yourself from becoming depressed.

It's not easy but persistence will eventually pay off.
