I am also hoping to start a English GCSE in September. I do fear that I will never get a job with those qualifications, my brothers say that my qualifications are rubbish and that I will never get a job with them and that I wasted my time at college. With my qualifications would you consider giving me an interview? And more importantly can I gain an entry level job with these, such as shelf stacking, being a customer assistant etc?

Thank you soo much in advance for all of your help and advice, I am very grateful.

You have a lot of qualifications, a bit of everything, but you need to ask yourself what you really want to do. I would try and get at least a C in GCSE Maths, English and Science first, and maybe a qualification related to what you want to do. You have enough work experience which is good, after you get those things, I'd say you would be fully equipped to going along to a job interview. Maths is pretty important though, even a D would be better than nothing

There may a small grain of truth in what your brother says as you have what employers really dislike about the current education system pointless non qualifications that have little value than just rack up pass marks in league tables. It's very obvious you struggled at school and i'm guessing the job centre referred you to working for oxfam as work experience. Work with your advisor as they will find you something you are going to get a fresh reference from it and experience.

You seem to have quite a lot of qualifications, but don't know what you really would like to do or be. However you seem to be going about it in the right way. That is getting voluntary work and studying. Get your Job Centre to send you for career guidance or talk to H2O ( Highway to Opportunity)

I wish you good luck with your hunt for jobs.

Just lie on your application and make a fake resume. That's how millions of people get their jobs. I've lied on every application I've ever filled out. They don't check your background unless you're applying for a government job.

don't listen to what your brother tells you by what you wrote down on your education you sound and seem like a very knowledgeable person I would take my time to interview you and offer you a job
