How to move up in walmart?

okay so my bestfriend for several years is a department manager in the meat department and im just a regular associate, i just wanted to know how can i move up, i already got a month on my belt and been working hard but still need to learn a few things but i know i will with time please help me ill give the most stars! =p

Dont be in a hurry. Be patient and learn as much as you can. Be friendly and try to come up with new ideas as well as respect other peoples ideas as well.
