Absolutely not. Do not remove your course of study from your resume. I don't think you're looking in the right area if you haven't had any interest from potential employers.
You can go to the counseling/career placement office on campus to find potential employers. Most organizations will spend nominal funds on college recruitment, as it is a perfect pool of candidates for companies who tend to "lag the market". They hire at or below industry standard, then provide training for entry-level college grads.
I encourage you to proceed with caution when considering these firms, as most are searching for employees who will "stay the course" while they tend to recruit creative free-thinkers. The match is less than ideal in that case.
I recommend asking a recruitment specialist to look over your CV, as first impressions are everything. You may need to revamp your style of presentation.
In addition, I recommend doing extensive reseach on the company/companies to which you apply. Include your thoughts on their organizations in your cover letter.
Should you still not have any luck, try contacting an emplooyment placement agency.
Best of luck to you in your employment search!
