I'm applying for a job at a college. I'm wondering if it is better for me to type the application and release form or cleanly hand write it? which is better for me to do. its for a admissions office job.

If you're just filling in boxes on a form, I would say it is okay to do it by hand, just be sure to write very neatly and in black pen.

If there are long essay questions where you are required to include a response of a paragraph or two, you should type that. It's difficult to fit a good response into the small boxes they usually provide. Also, typing it up will show you put in that much extra effort and make your application look professional. Just be sure it is clear which answers correspond to each question.

Good luck!

Handwriting is fine, who even has a type writter anymore!?! If they have it avalible online or through Word, then I would definately type it. For for the person who worked 12 years in HR you are incorrect, not all places look for how well handwriting is.

Type the application. You don't need any errors on your job application. You can even scan the application and fill it out on your computer using a PDF file.

Some let you fill in, some don't. It would have been helpful if you had a link to the form so we could look at it. My guesss is that you are missing a step somewhere. Doesn't make sense that they would want you to print and hand write. You could email or call them and ask.

Handwrite. Here's why, they will want to see how neat your handwriting is -- so be very neat and precise.

An admissions office would want it typed without errors!
