Question:
If you take pens, pencils, paper, staplers, and other materials from work, is it stealing, or employee perks?

I don't take things from work, but my friend, who is a teacher, does. I do use the things though when I have projects due, and never considered it stealing because I know teachers have a lot of materials available to them..... Is it really stealing, in the traditional sense, or is everything game in the workplace?

It's trivial embezzlement, usually, unless the company specifically says that it's allowed. Pens, pencils, staplers, and other office supplies are company property just like anything else. Nobody usually cares though, since those are just office supplies. They don't cost much, they don't last long in the first place, and the employees use a lot of them for work-related purposes anyway (e.g. taking pens home to grade homework).

So no, it's not stealing in "the traditional sense", and no, everything is not "game" in the workplace, because if you embezzle something less trivial, you can get fired and charged with theft.

It would depend on if you are taking these things and using them for work related projects. If you are using them for work but outside of the office than it is not stealing. But, if you are using these things for personal use, unrelated to work, than yes it is stealing.

The humorous component is that all of us have the comparable difficulty. all of them disappear and what's left is many of the previous stuff. i think of that is each and every person on your place of work! WHomever needs a pen or a pencil and sees a clean one is gonna %. it

It is all stealing. If you use it at work, ok, but not to take home.

If you have to ask, you already know.

YES, it is, they are there to use at WORK.

They do not grow on trees, someone has to pay for them.

IT ALL COMES OUT OF SCHOOL TAXES.
