For legitimate data entry jobs you work for companies who have you keying various information for them. It could be numbers for accounting purposes or bookkeeping or it could be keying words into a document.

These work at home jobs are however very tedious they pay you a couple of cents for every 1000 correct entry.

If you want to work from home and you have customer service or retail experience you can try as a home agent (customer care but from home) They pay you between 9.00-12.00 per hour.

You can also be an affiliate marketer

SHORT VERSION:

There is absolutely NO SUCH THING as a "real online data entry job". They are ***ALL*** SCAMS.

If you do not want to believe me, you can go ahead and throw your money away. You have been warned.

LONG VERSION:

Like most Work-From-Home 'jobs', it's a scam.

I've been in the business of web and interactive development and marketing since the late 1990's and have come across thousands of Work-From-Home rebate processing and data entry 'jobs'.

For example, a few years ago I was helping an agency conduct an investigation into one particular scammer who sold 'certified' packages at $150 each to 'agents' who wanted to make some 'easy' money. Their tag line was "earn quick and easy cash anywhere from $500 to $1500 a day". How this was achieved was a total fraud. Basically:

1) Buy a package from the scamming company which includes 20 data slips you need to sell to the next 'agent'.

2) Each data slip contains zero beneficial information. It's usually a white envelope with the to and from address spots blank that you need to fill in and spend your own money to mail out. The data slip is marked "Part 1 of 20", "Part 2 of 20" and contains text data about how to market your data slips.

3) To earn money, you need to create another web site or ad and say you are selling certified data entry packages for processing.

4) Next work-at-home agent-to-be buys into the scam and pays you for one of the 20 data slips which teaches that new 'agent' how to sell more data slips.

5) For you to continue to make money, you need to go to the agent you bought the package from and that agent buys more from the one s/he bought it from, etc.

In short, it's an MLM scam that sells 'agents' useless information.

Another scam is exactly what Worthington Randolph Processing does. They sell you a package that helps process rebates of other people. However, you should take a look at the provided link here and check it out yourself.

Ultimately, I can guarantee you that if it's seems to good to be true, it's most likely a scam especially coming from the internet. The only way you can make 'good' money is amateur porn, porn sponsored galleries, live cam shows, YouTube channels with popular content paid through YT's own sponsorship system, listed directories with ads, etc.

data entry worker means someone who enters information onto a computer system. that coudl be customer details, product details and so on.

However you need to be cautious about such a job. it may well bee 100% legitmate, but there are a lot of scamsters operating data entry 'job' schemes.

if its with a legit company on their premises with their equipment then its probably OK

if its at home, with your equipment and or they ask for fees up front its almost certainly a scam
