I am totally sure I am going to get a lot of negative answers and oppinions on this, but I am asking for serious reasons.
Right now I am pregnant and I have no family members who support me in any way. My boyfriend is abusive and I am going to leave him. I lost everything when I got in my car accident. The car is totalled. Lost my job cuz of it.
I have no money except the money I got back from the book value of my car.
I am considering after my baby is born to become a escort. They make good money and I can take care of my child w/o having to stay w/ my b/f, and I can get on my feet again.
Their is no way I will get an abortion or adopt my child out. I dont care if any of you say I should, because for me its not an option!!!
Do you know how to get into this business? I have no idea how I would start.
Im ready for the good answers and the ugly answers you all have to offer me.

Ok, there are two types of escort services.



There is the actual escort service which provides companions to visiting business men and the like. You will generally need to be pretty, elegant, intelligent, well-spoken, and well-mannered. You will need to find a service or offer your services in local papers, preferably business papers. A service is your best bet, but they are few and far between. While this can be a well paying job, you must fit into the world of the customers. If you can't pull off high-class, you won't have many customers.



Then there is the escort services that are fronts for prostitution. These are easier to find as they are the more populous of the two. These women make pretty good money, even if they have to split (up to 50%) their money with the service. There are also independents who call themselves escorts, but are really just call-girls. You don't need to be smart, well-spoken, or elegant. You do have to be attractive, but there is a market for everything. Once again, this is prostitution and is illegal just about everywhere.



The latter pays better than the former.



With either one, you are likely to be an independent contractor and there are tax implications. You will probably not have any insurance or childcare unless you pay for it yourself.



To get started in either, you need to find a service or place ads in local magazines and newspapers.

I think an escort is a cop out. Will you take your baby along? Become a nanny or post something on Craigslist about watching kids. If you could watch 2 kids, plus your own, you'd make enough money. You won't need a car if you do this. Network around your neighborhood. Meet people. Look for affordable housing if that is an issue. I know there are some descent places to live, if you just look.

If your boyfriend is abusing you, try to find a safe shelter in your city. Don't fall for the line that he will reform and he is sorry. Abusers never are.

You may find out that if you are an escort, that the abuse you are taking now may just be the tip of the iceberg.

How about do what other people do and work a regular job. People are always trying to find the easy way out. Be a woman, if you knew you didn't have the $$$ to support this baby alone, then you should have thought twice before opening your legs. Obviously you have no sense of self worth. Number 1, you stayed with an abusive b/f up until you got pregnant and then you decide to leave him. A women with positive self esteem and self worth would have seen him blow up once and be gone. Number two, women who value themselves don't work as escorts. Here's what you need to do. First, go see a shrink. You obviously have issues with self esteem. Second you need to go out and find a real job that offers benefits so you can take care of your child. Third, if you cannot do this and provide a stable, safe, positive environment for your baby, then you need to consider adoption. All in all you seem very immature and not ready for a child. You need to learn that $hit happens to everyone. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and keep moving on.

Personally...I would not go this route. Not only are you going to be a mother, but it is degrading & disgusting. You should actually try and go to college. It will basically be paid for since you will be with child. You should pick a college and go apply at FAFSA.com. In the meantime, get a good job through some placement service. OK now I'm feeling really really bad for you. What state do you live in?? I personally would strongly advise against this you seem like a really really nice young woman. I am sure a state agency would be able to help somewhat? I would think that others would feel the same way I do. There just has to be a better answer than selling yourself. Skills? Schooling??

Look in the phone book...however there are better jobs out there. If you are looking for get-rich-quick there isn't such a thing. There are lots of programs out there that will help train you for good honest jobs. You don't have to PIMP yourself out...what kind of life would that be for your child.

What would be wrong with working at a McDonald's or other fast food restaurant? Many of them have training programs to become managers...managers often purchase their own franchise.

Now wouldn't that be a great way to raise your child...owning your very own Micky D's?

Start in your local yellow pages. Look under escort services- call the number listed. Tell whoever answers the phone that you are looking for employment and ask who you might speak to about it.

You might also look for massage parlor listings- they handle the same kind of duties.

Honestly....it's not the answer or way out of this situation....there are MANY other options for jobs...why would you pick this one? Pick one that gives you dignity and makes your baby proud of you!
