I have had a thing for coasters since I was 5. I rode my first coaster at Six Flags over GA, and I love them with a passion. You could say I am a roller coaster enthusiast. I bought a roller coaster tycoon PC game when I was 13 and I love it. Ever since I experienced my first exhilarating, heart stopping coaster I knew that I could design and ride coasters all my life. My dream is to have the best theme park in the world and have world wide theme parks like Six Flags. I just want to start slow and be a designer, so what are some great colleges and options for a big dreamer like me?

Roller coasters are designed by engineers, so you would need to study engineering and physics. There is a lot of math involved. The number of jobs for roller coaster designers are probably very small, so you might want to expand your interests in engineering a bit more. But there are other jobs available that have to do with amusement parks too. Every amusement park needs managers that deal with marketing, hospitality, and even accounting. So there are many ways that you can have a career in an amusement park.

Look for Amusement Parks in Canada. You should get a comparison on nations who say they care for their citizens and demonstrate this by the places they build for inner city family gatherings, such as Miller Outdoor Theater and Children's Museum in Houston,Texas. When my grands came to Houston, I took them to Discovery Green, the children

played in the water and the parents and I had some chat time. Seek these environments for your Design Market place. Find the community and then look at you market for your design. Does this sound like a plan?

First find out how many coasters are being build per year. Then you will know what are your odds at building one.

Take structural engineering and business.
