It would be wrong to leave and not show up. If you're paid a week or so behind (i.e., you have to work the week then get paid the next week) your former employer has every right to keep your pay. While two weeks notice is considered the appropriate thing to do, it is Wednesday, tell your boss you're leaving and Friday will be your last day. At least the company can make plans to cover for your position on Monday.

Depending on the local laws they might be able to withhold your final pay if you fail to give notice. If you've got another job lined up, give notice then behave so badly that your employer waives the notice period just to be rid of you.

I had a corrupt boss at my last job (he was manipulative and sneaky) so I didn't trust him. I didn't give two weeks notice. About 5 months after I left I found our entire department closed down so I got out in the nick of time.
I actually have a relative that tried to give his employers 2 weeks notice and they told him "No, you can leave now". Employers often do not give their employees 2 weeks notice. I have been canned on the spot before with no notice. Do what you have to do

Well you got a new job without this current employment on your resume, so in your shoes, I say it all ends on Friday, I certainly cannot and would not be able to tolerate anybody cursing and threatening me, telling me my days are numbered because I want to protect my driving record. Loss of a licence affects you and not them, they can always get another driver cant they, tell the selfish abusive bastard to stick it up his assss and get the hell out of there on Friday, ready for a new chapter in your work history on Monday, dont lose the opportunity to change direction.

If that was a requirement when you were hired, then yes you should give a two week notice

Well you worked there at most 2 months. You are never going to acknowledge this job on your resume, and you aren't looking to ever go back. If I was treated that bad I wouldn't feel bad about burning my bridges in that respect. Although on Friday I would probably attempt to go have a calm discussion with my Boss. I would tell them I was quitting and if they would listen tell them WHY. If they don't want to listen or all you plan to do is cuss them out then don't bother.

Depends on whether I already have a new job lined up. At the very least, you should tell the guy on Friday afternoon that you won't be coming back.

I would. It's customary.

screw giving a two week notice. the whole concept behind that practice is illogical. Do they give you a two week notice before firing or laying you off? nope.
That being said, a 2 week notice is probably a good thing IF you EVER plan to work at that job again . If not, hell with em.

Mostly the 15 days notice is as per the service agreement. When one wants to leave the job, his employer has to find out a suitable substitute, that requires time for him, hence the notice.

If they don't owe you any money and it is that bad.....don't go back. Good luck with the new job.

If you want/need to get paid you MUST give and work the proper notice.
