I recently got my master's degree in accounting, but I can't find work in the field because I have limited experience. Should I just take any job after having been unemployed for several months?

I would at least try to find something business related to so you can put on a resume that you can turn into accounting related experience. Even if it is a secretary or desk clerk job, you can say that you managed customer information or their payments. I would also at the very least find something to do for work in the meantime. If you find absolutely nothing in your field or clsoe to your field of study, then maybe you should find any job for now. That way you are getting paid and you can tell a future employer that you were at least working while trying to find an accounting job rather than being unemployed

How long have you been looking?? Are you willing to relocate?? I've heard there are lots of jobs in accounting. So it seems strange that you can not find a job.

Any job is better than no job. Working looks better than gap on your CV. It also gives the social contact that keeps you mentally more alert and you could get a better job thru the contacts you make.

Maybe your school can help you find a job. You should have checked to see if they offer work experience programs or co operative work programs.

Maybe try temp agencies and see if they can help you. See if you have what it takes to do accounts payable or bookkeeping jobs.

If you still can't find a job then you should take some thing that will give you some income. You can always quit once you do find a job in your field.

Volunteer to get experience. Internships while in school, that's what they're for.
