Are you tongue tied while making small talk, or during "business" talk?

If it is about business, prepare (hopefully no surprise meetings etc.) think of the most important things she needs to know. Use clear and direct language that won't trip you up. If you are using unfamiliar vocabulary you are more likely to make a mistake or worry about making one. Be as professional as possible, but not too wordy.

If you are having difficulty in less formal situations, try to find common ground. Do you have similar families, are you from the same area? Start small and build from there. Be a good listener. I started following sports (just paid attention to the highlights) as an icebreaker with my male bosses.

Good luck and relax. Be an asset to the business.

One opinion: if Man C has been divorced, Girl A is not a homewrecker, just part of a pattern of spousal abuse. If he's married, and the emails are strictly about the work left over from the old office, fine. Anything else is not good. Memorize one line that you can repeat no matter the situation. Use it whenever you catch yourself getting tongue-tied. My personal favorite for the boss was, "Don't worry about this mule boss, just load the cart."

You should relax as the person said before and take deep breaths when you see him coming sometimes this helps or sing a little tune and try to calm down and you will be fine.

just relax... if you calm down a little and remember that he's just a person too the words will flow a lot easier...

Build up selfesteem, selfconfidence, build a better repor with him/her, crack a joke to release tension.
