You will probably have to start off pretty low, but if you work hard you can move on up and end up doing pretty well for yourself.

A high school diploma and GED both tell your employer that you know passed the basics of education, when you get a GED it says high school diploma on it. The only difference is that a high school diploma shows the employer that you are a good prospect because you took the time to learn and stuck thru school instead of being a quitter and going the fast easy route of getting a GED. If you get your GED and say that youve gotten a HS Diploma on your resume or job application and the employer finds out otherwise you may not be hired. You will actually get more money if you go to college and at least get an associates degree. Im pretty sure that most colleges accept a GED but you have to do a cpt (college placement test) with them. If you plan on going to college and know which one you are wanting to attend i would go to their website and research their admissions and registration information. Good Luck!

You should probably look into some kind of career training. There are several and maybe take some tests to figure out what your strengths are and what you actually enjoy doing. Do you like being active and doing stuff outside, or do you like office work? Do you like working with your hands? Do you think you might enjoy being in the medical field at some level, maybe an Emergency Medical Technologist, or if that seems too "life and death", maybe you might like being a computer technologist, programmer, or something like that? You really need to be true and honest with yourself, and then do some research. Ask a lot of questions of people who actually do the kind of work you might enjoy doing, and then set a course of action to achieve what you want. No one can do this for you...you have to make these kind of decision for yourself.

Take some college courses to further your education and get an idea of what is out there

Even if you dont attend college you can go to your local community college and meet with an "Academic Advisor" for free.

Tell them your talents or interests and they can point you in the right direction for either college or job hunting.
