Current Employment

Dove Mill Retail Outlet
(Feb 2012-present)
Working for an Internet company, a large part of my job involves processing orders using an array of computer software, which I picked up quickly. In my job I have to be very good at spotting and fixing errors, due to the large amount of customers who input their details incorrectly.

I also act as the company’s customer service agent, taking phone calls from suppliers and customers, helping them with their orders and fixing any issues they may be having. I also assist any customers in the shop should they require help or advice regarding their purchase.

Due to the nature of the business, stock in the warehouse is constantly being moved round to make way for new stock. However I am still able to find everything in a precise and concise manner, showing that I can think well on my feet, can adapt quickly and easily to change, and that I have a good memory.

As I have been at Dove Mill for a year and a half I have trained up several newcomers so I have a good grasp of my job.

Previous Employment

Spitting Images Photography
(Aug 2010-Nov 2011)
I worked as a Personal Assistant at Spitting Images Photography. My duties included working out how much photography packs should cost and how much profit we’d make per item. I also helped write emails to customers.

Shopmobility
(Dec 2011-Jan 2012)
While working at this Charity shop I improved my social communication with customers, when I served them. In the back I sorted through the donations and priced them up.

About Me

I am a productive, hard working person who enjoys keeping my head down and meeting targets. Because of my work at Dove Mill I have good keyboard skills and am efficient with office word packages. I work well on my own and can also communicate well with others.

While not at work I enjoy reading and writing, and have been writing my own series of short stories over the past 3 years.

Have a look at a really good article on cvs which would be helpful: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/jobs/10302977/Using-hard-working-and-motivated-is-now-meaningless-on-CVs.html

Its way too wordy :S

CV's aren't meant to be conversational, most employers want to get to the important info as quickly as possible. Convert it to bullet points, eg.

Dove Mill Retail

Internet company (add a short description of company), ,

-Processed orders by using multiple types of software

-Regularly had to fix and spot errors made by customers

-Recieved phone calls from both customers and supliers, helping them with their order and any issues they may be having

-Trained new staff and had good knowledge of the constantly changing stock in the warehouse

You should put your intro at the start and any skills you mentioned in your draft, include here and state which jobs you gained them from. Also include some of your qualities eg. communication skills, enthusiastic... basically what you've already done is good. But keep it short.

your whole CV should fit neatly on a page.

For qualifications make sure you put maths and English first

Too long and verbose, very boring stuff - change it entirely if you really want a job.
