Depends on why they got pissed off at you . . . if it was because you said or did something honest and legit that they just didn't agree with, then you shouldn't do anything . . it's their own fault for taking offense to it in the first place.
If you did something uncalled for or irresponsible, then you should probably at least apologize.
Thinking of your boss as a Unit or a Title gives them rank, privilage and control over you. If you think of your boss as just another equal human being on this planet just like yourself, but this individual signs your checks, that'll get a different (probably more favorable) response.
