So I was wondering what career is good for a man to pursue ? I am trying to help my guy friend start out in college but he confused in what direction he should go. There isn't many jobs out there that you can count on or even pay good, so what would you recommend?

It's important to get a professional degree - engineers and accountants always get jobs, liberal arts degrees get you a job at McD's. Trades also do well - often they make more than a guy with a bachelor's. Plumbers, electricians, draftsmen, welders, fitters, and machinists (to name a few) make great money.

Definetly go for engineering, either chemical or mechanical. Great money in this, and travel..
