I feel that same way, though i'm 19.

First of all (if you have enough while to look after yourself for a while.) I would quit your job,

and start looking in the papers and online for some courses that may interest you.

Find a hobby, maybe learn an instrument or take up a sport.

Have a goal and aim for it, either health wise or career wise. Take small steps towards achieving it.

Start with the course, maybe a course that involces work experience in that field. Like hospitality or soemthing. You said you like the thought of film. You ca apply to be an extra in tv shows and movies etc. My sister just did that it's so easy and you can do it online. if you did that eventually you could end up in proper acting!!

I also feel anxious and stressed ALL the time about everything, it sucks, and the advice i'm giving you, i should be taking myself too :(

good luck, hope it all works out :)

Hey, I'm not sure if I can be of much help...your post caught my attention because I am in almost the exact same boat as you, except I'm female. I am 26/f, did attend college but started working at a dead end office job straight out of college, so over 4 years now. I also have anxiety, which holds me back a lot, and prevents me from changing the things I don't like, as I am afraid of trying and failing. I guess I can just tell you to be bold and make the changes you desire. I wish I could take my own advice and do that, but it isn;t that simple! It seems so hard when everyone is already married and has kids our age too, and I have none of that. Time just keeps flying by, and things will only change if you let them. Good luck! Message me if you want any one to talk to.

You can still go to college, even a community college would get you a basic degree in what you're interested in.

If you are INTERESTED in modeling then find somewhere that can help you get started. Search for modeling training for men in your area (google will find results easily, I had been in female modeling for a while, but decided make-up is SO not me).

If you really want to pursue a career having to do with animals then try looking at a zoo, you could get a simple job there even as simple as cleaning up after the animals, it may not be very glorious, but if you love animals that much then it could end up being quite enjoyable for you. If that doesn't strike your fancy then you could try opening a shelter, go to a university for a couple years, get a basic business education and license, and open up a rescue for dogs/cats/small animals, or whatever you like. You could even go into working AT a shelter. It may not pay the best, but it can be a very rewarding job.

As for film or acting, try looking for auditions for commercials/ TV shows/ or even movie extras (or mains, depending on your skill confidence pertaining to acting) and go try out! You could hit a good streak and end up being on the big screens in the next few years. You could even get a degree in teaching and TEACH acting. Or even just start a little shindig where you charge people for acting tips or something. Anything to get your started.

If you want to direct movies then start a low budget directing deal and start looking for people who want to make movies. You could film movies, produce DVD's, and sell them in movie stores (although they normally don't catch the buyer's eye if it's not a big-shot movie).

Try at least going for your bachelors degree for general studies so you have some base to build up from. If you don't do it now, the regret you feel currently will only increase ten fold by the time you're in your 30's.
