I recently filled out a application for CVS pharmacy online and submitted my application. I'm age 16, and I'm wondering how long does it take to hear from the CVS that I applied to? On the website it says that they keep my records for 90 days, does this mean I have to go to the CVS and ask for the job in 90 days of time before they cancel all my records? It also says I can "follow up" on my application by going to the CVS I applied for. What does follow up mean and should I do it? DO I have a good chance of getting hired? (btw I'm applying for the position where your at the cash register)

Hi! I filled out my application on June 26th and had an interview on July 3rd. It all depends on whether or not the store you applied to is hiring or not. They keep the application on file for 90 days so that if they do start hiring, you'll still be in the running if they chose to hire the day you apply or 89 days after you apply. As for your age, ignore the other guy. I just got hired and sat in the CVS training class today and 16 year olds are able to work in CVS and sell liquor and tobacco. You must wear a special name tag, but you CAN WORK THERE :) Try calling the store and asking for the manager on duty and saying "Hi, My name is xxxxx. I applied online and I was calling to check on the status of my application" if they say they are not hiring let them know that you are enthusiastic about working for CVS and that you will be checking back in a few weeks. Make sure you ask for the manager's name and thank them for their time. CVS is all about customer service, so showing your personality, if you are nice that is, is very important! I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK!!!!

First of all im pretty sure to work on the register at CVS you need to be 18 years of age. Since you sell cigarettes and liquor. To follow up means to call them up and see how the application is going. In most cases in just 2 to 3 days they make a decison in who to choose for the job.

What does "answers not compatible with the store" mean? Was this a personality questionnaire? Or a competency questionnaire? I have taken a personality questionnaire for employment and the employer is weeding out the ones who are NOT managerial minded. They get a red for (not hire-able) and a green for (hire-able). If you fell in the red section on the questionnaire then you would NOT get hired until you are able to pass this said questionnaire. There is no answer key provided for this test if it is taken online. The company has made sure of it and may use multiple versions of this test. I would ask a member of management when are you eligible to re-take this test again.
