I'm a Software Engineer skilled in VC++, MFC. I have three years of work experience in Indian IT industry.
I'm planning to apply for an Australian Permanent residency for immigration. Before applying for visa, I wish to know about the job oppurtunites for my skill in Australia. Please guide me.

Hi Karthik,

Hope you had moved to Australia. I'm exactly in the same dilemma. I have 6.5 years of experience in VC++, MFC, COM. Do you think this skill set is still valid in Australian market? If not, what are the alternate Windows technologies that are hot in Australian market, like C# etc ?

Do you think it's worth a try for PR with this skillset?

Thank you,

Rahul.

PS: Awaiting reply. If you can direct to someone else or some other portal that could provide me assistance with this, please do mention. I appreciate your help in this regard very much. Wish you all the very best.
