I am really into all that hippie stuff. Vegetarianism, environmentalism, idealism. I don't have any higher education. I don't need to make an obscene amount of money I just don't want to be struggling to pay for my organic veggies for the week and my bills. I can't live on a commune, my husband needs video games to live.

Hi tuesdaystarlight!

You might check out Americorp (http://www.americorps.org/) for a "help society" type job that require no specific labor/technical skills.

If you're interested in working in retail, a good option is to go into your favorite hippie-type shops and ask if they are hiring.

Another idea would be to go non-profits in your community and see if they have any openings.

Finally, if you're a "techie", lots of internet and technology companies coincidentally employ progressive/liberal-minded people and can be fun and flexible places to work.

Of course if you're in an area where a lot of hippie-types live already (Missoula, MT, Boulder, CO, northern CA), almost any employer may have a bunch of cool hippies to work with. :)
