First, you need to make sure you catch the name right, then repeat it in your mind 3 times. Then try to think of something about them that stands out that you can relate to the name. Like a guy named Fred Baker who has red hair and large ears could be Red Fred, the big eared Baker. It can be anything, even silly, as long as it reiterates the name in your mind. That will help you recall it later.

Make sure to pick something physical about them - big hands, freckles, pretty nose, dimpled chin. Using clothes won't work if you see them again and they don't have the same clothes on. ;-)

I like to pick a prominent or unusual feature about the person (if it's just at a party, maybe a piece of clothing). Get a good picture of that feature in your head, spell out their name so it's like you're reading it in your head and try to attach the 2 together. It's not easy and you might want to try it with just a couple of people before you try to remember larger groups.

Usually we all have something visually special about us. I try and take a mental note about the attire, hair, speech, something that stands out in that person. I relate that to their name so the guy with the husky voice=Mat Gates. Helps me remember names. Hope that helps you.

I artwork in an place of work that has 2 different workplaces in different states so i understand what you advise. maybe repeating their names as their presented, each often times in the event that they do no longer recommendations I write their names down and enable them to appreciate it is for my own very own use till i'm getting to appreciate them. maximum individuals have the comparable project, so your no longer on my own. sturdy success!!

You know what I do and it works, add an adjective to their name like Fat Face Fred, Mustache Mary, Ugly Susan

the best way i do it is ask them how they spell it, might sound goofy on a bob, but at least you'll know
