Should I do one?

I'm applying to restaurants/fastfood. I don't have any experience in food service except dishwashing(Volunteering right now).

Now should I make one for the restaurants, I've been job searching and have done tons of apps, I want to do more then just a lazy resume, will a cover letter fit with my resume?

Go to job services online or at community centers, vocational rehab centers, community colleges, etc. Put "how to do a cover letter" in any search engine.

A cover letter isn't a resume. It goes with one. It needs to be tailored to the individual (human resources manager, etc) that handles the hiring for the company you want to work for or are applying to. A cover letter sums up the resume and sells you. It adds anything that your resume didn't cover or expands on things you might want to highlight that would be beneficial to the company you're applying to.

Yes, you should add a cover letter with your resume. Cover letter should explain the reason for sending the resume.
